MADRIX RADAR is lighting device management software based on the RDM, Remote Device Management, communication protocol. It was developed for maintenance and technical support in LED installations and suits applications in entertainment, architectural and facade lighting, television studios and productions, live performances, concerts, festivals, exhibition stands, showrooms, hotels, cruise ships, service providers, and rental companies.

DMX-controlled fixtures equipped with RDM communicate in both directions by receiving instructions and returning feedback. RADAR collects this data and turns it into usable information, insights, and control options automatically and efficiently. One application supervises all lighting fixtures and manages numerous RDM devices, with fully automatic patching and monitoring 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, automatic email notifications, and remote configuration.

Settings can be changed remotely and results can be viewed quickly through graphical overviews. A database can be created from previous sensor data, allowing parameters including temperature and hours of operation to be tracked so devices that may fail soon can be identified and replaced before failure. Remote access avoids the need to reach fixtures installed directly on trusses, ceilings, or facades.

Simplified addressing allows devices to be configured before mounting or parameters such as the DMX address to be changed afterwards. The integrated search function supports changes to one device or multiple items at the same time. Drag and drop can automatically link all fixtures in a single DMX universe or across the complete address range, placing them in the correct order. Highlight mode flashes fixtures fully white for quick identification during installation and for checking their response to DMX commands or their correct serial addressing. Continuous monitoring is provided 365 days a year, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.
