MADRIX LUNA 16 is a reliable, easy-to-use network node with an Art-Net Node / USB 2.0 DMX-512 interface, 16 DMX-OUT outputs and 1 DMX-IN input. It is designed for 19-inch rack mounting and occupies 2U. Developed and made in Germany, the unit distributes DMX-512 data over short or long distances through an Ethernet network or USB, and converts Art-Net data from the Ethernet network to DMX-512. Its synchronisation mode coordinates lighting effects on the LEDs for a consistent visual result without interruptions. Reliable data distribution and efficient operation benefit both small and large projects.

The 5-pin female XLR ports distribute the same number of DMX universes per unit, while one 5-pin male XLR port can be used for DMX input. Several units can be operated at the same time for larger projects. MADRIX hardware and software synchronise Art-Net data across all output ports and between multiple devices, providing an optimal LED image without visual interruptions. LUNA 16 complies with the official Art-Net specifications and can operate as a standard Art-Net unit together with other consoles, controllers or software solutions.

The fanless design is noiseless and low-energy, while the durable metal case uses Neutrik sockets. Two premounted brackets enable rack mounting, and 5 indicators quickly display the device status. The unit is ready within seconds after startup, automatically provides HTP merging for 2 Art-Net sources and has upgradeable firmware for future enhancements. Specific settings can be accessed and changed through the built-in web configuration page.

The power supply accepts 100–240 V AC at 50/60 Hz, with a maximum current of 0.4 A, through an IEC C14 inlet. Power consumption during normal operation is less than 5 W, corresponding to 10.20 BTU/h. Supported network protocols are Art-Net I, II, 3 and 4, including ArtSync, as well as streaming ACN (sACN / ANSI E1.31). The 16 DMX512 outputs provide 16 x 512 DMX channels, while the DMX512 input provides 1 x 512 DMX channel.

The outputs use 5-pin female Neutrik XLR connectors and the input uses a 5-pin male Neutrik XLR connector. Ethernet is provided through 1 RJ45 port with Auto MDI-X, etherCON and 10/100 MBit/s operation, compatible with 1 GBit/s. The device includes 1 USB 2.0 port with a type-B female socket. Handling is provided by 5 status LEDs. The metal enclosure includes attached brackets for 19-inch, 2U rack mounting.

The temperature range is -10 to 60 °C during operation and -20 to 70 °C during storage. Permitted relative humidity is 20 to 80%, non-condensing, for both operating and storage conditions. The IP rating is IP20. Listed certifications are CE, EAC, FCC and RoHS, and the product includes a 5-year limited manufacturer's warranty. Body-only dimensions, specified as length x width x height, are 76 x 440 x 88 mm; total dimensions are 76 x 482.6 x 88 mm. Weight is 2 kg.
